Are you looking for your next chapter at HEINEKEN UK? You already know that we make great beers and ciders, well we also offer exciting and dynamic careers!
We're looking for someone who's as ready to evolve for the future as we are. If you're a qualified accountant with experience of ESG reporting, this could be a great opportunity to join our Finance team.
About the role
We've an excellent opportunity for a Senior Finance Analyst to join our Reporting & Accounting team in our head office in Edinburgh.
Reporting to the HUK Financial Reporting Manager, you'll play a key role in managing HEINEKEN UK's ESG reporting requirements, making sure our reporting is accurate, well controlled and meets our legislative, regulatory and internal requirements.
You'll work across Finance, Sustainability, Corporate Affairs, Supply Chain and Commerce, as well as with colleagues across HEINEKEN globally. You'll also help keep HUK ahead of changing ESG reporting requirements and make sure we're ready for what's coming next.
You'll be responsible for:
- Leading HUK's ESG reporting and compliance, including statutory disclosures, CSRD requirements and external audit activity, making sure reporting is accurate, complete and delivered on time.
- Managing the governance and controls around ESG data, working with KPI owners and stakeholders to investigate issues, maintain clear accountability and make sure the right sign-offs are in place.
- Keeping on top of changing ESG requirements, assessing what new legislation and reporting requirements mean for HUK and supporting the planning and preparation needed.
- Providing insight into ESG performance, reviewing key sustainability metrics, explaining significant movements, highlighting risks and identifying areas for action.
- Coordinating HUK and Star Pubs carbon footprint reporting, bringing together data from across the business and helping stakeholders understand year-on-year movements.
- Building strong relationships across HUK and HEINEKEN globally, representing Finance at key Sustainability forums and working with colleagues across the business to continuously improve ESG reporting.
It's a role that combines financial reporting, data, controls and stakeholder management, so you'll need to be comfortable getting into the detail while also being able to step back and explain what the numbers mean and what we need to do about them.
Who we're looking for
We're looking for a qualified accountant with strong financial reporting experience and ideally specific ESG reporting experience. You don't need to know everything about ESG reporting from day one, but you'll need a basic understanding of ESG reporting frameworks such as TCFD, IFRS S1 & S2, and CSRD, ,along with the curiosity to keep learning as things evolve. Experience of working in FMCG, a large organisation or a complex reporting environment would be beneficial but isn't essential.
You'll also bring:
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work through complex information, spot when something doesn't look right and explain what it means.
- Good stakeholder and influencing skills, as you'll be working with people across Finance and the wider business and won't always have direct control over the information you need.
- The ability to manage multiple deadlines, keeping things moving while maintaining the accuracy and quality you'd expect from a Finance role.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with a track record of delivering financial and non-financial targets and an interest in keeping up with changing ESG requirements.
