The internship

Join HEINEKEN’s Global Legal Affairs team in Amsterdam and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, international environment. As a full member of the team, you will assist with legal research, reviewing and drafting contracts, and advising on marketing campaigns. You will also contribute to global knowledge sharing by publishing updates for our colleagues and responding to ad-hoc legal queries from around the world.

During your internship you will also get the opportunity to get to know HEINEKEN as a company, also outside your department. The department

The IP, Commerce & Regulatory Affairs department is part of HEINEKEN Global Legal Affairs, based in the vibrant heart of Amsterdam. We specialize in trademark protection, advertising law, food law and sustainability compliance. We advise on marketing campaigns, high profile global sponsorships, green claims and we are involved in the development of exciting new products and packaging. From advising on the next big product launch to supporting world-class brand activations, we collaborate closely with our colleagues from Marketing, Research and Development and Corporate Affairs, and our colleagues in Heineken’s operating companies across the globe.


The terms of employment 

• Start date: 1 September 2026 or 4 January 2027

• Duration: 4 months

• Full-time internship (4 days/week possible in consultation)

• Location: Amsterdam

• Internship fee: €650 gross/month (based on 40 hours/week)

• If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed

 

The unique you! 

We believe everyone has unique talents and are looking for you! Ideally, you are:

• A law student in the final phase of your bachelor or master

• Demonstrating a strong interest in intellectual property law

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken

 

Conditions of HEINEKEN 

  1. You are enrolled at an educational institution for the entire duration of your internship and can provide proof of enrollment for the current academic year during your onboarding.
    1. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
    2. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
  2. You reside in the Netherlands for the entire duration of your internship. Please note that HEINEKEN does not provide housing.
  3. You are in possession of a valid citizen service number (BSN).
