Title:  Procurement Specialist Logistics

Purpose of the Job

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for planning and executing category strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating and formalizing contracts, and ensuring operational excellence through contract performance monitoring. This role acts as a key enabler of cost competitiveness, supply security, and sustainability across the organization.

This is to ensure business continuity and value delivery by leading the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, from strategic sourcing to contract implementation and compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Category Execution

  • Execute competitive sourcing events with tailored negotiation strategies.
  • Translate category strategies into actionable sourcing plans.
  • Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to identify risks and opportunities

 

Contract Management

  • Draft, negotiate, and implement supplier contracts in alignment with business needs.
  • Ensure contract compliance and manage contract lifecycle activities including renewals, amendments, and closures.
  • Monitor supplier performance against contract KPIs and escalate issues as needed.

 

Supplier Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and performance improvement.
  • Conduct supplier segmentation and quarterly reviews.
  • Support supplier development initiatives aligned with sustainability and preferential procurement goals

 

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a business partner to internal stakeholders across functions.
  • Align sourcing and contracting activities with business priorities and operational requirements.

 

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies, including Source-to-Contract and Source-to-Pay processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of sourcing decisions, contracts, and supplier performance.
  • Support audit readiness and risk mitigation efforts.

 

Job Requirements: Education and Experience

  • University level / master’s degree preferred
  • 7+ years of experience.
  • Proven experience as Category Manager or similar role.
  • Solid knowledge of Category Management.
  • An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods.
