Title:  Operator I Cellar

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Loading and off-loading of barrels
  • Filling and emptying of barrels
  • Transfer and taking up of tanks.
  • Sample drawing from barrels and tanks
  • Loading and off-loading of bulk tankers
  • Assisting with general duties on the bottling line when required
  • Assist with bulk and barrel stoke-take processes
  • Assist with completing PM inspections
  • Active participation in Problem-solving and TPM Level 1 team activities
  • Compliance with OHS Act standards
  • Maintain cellar hygiene standards
  • Apply strict loss control
  • Ad hoc duties when required

 

The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:

  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
  • SKOP courses will be highly advantageous
  • Be able to work effectively under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and housekeeping standards will be advantageous
  • Must be physically fit and strong to cope with the physical demands of the position
  • Willing and able to work extended hours(overtime) when required
  • Willingness to perform ad hoc duties, including in other departments, when required
  • Must be a team player
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Punctuality and attendance reliability
