As the Technical Project Manager for Data, you will orchestrate the delivery of complex data assets and products, managing interdependencies between multiple data initiatives, departments, or organizations, and ensuring alignment with the company’s technical data strategy. You will collaborate with stakeholders to, drive excellence in data engineering practices, and ensure high-quality delivery throughout the data product lifecycle.
You will coordinate and manage interdependencies between teams to alleviate the Engineering Manager, Product Owner and Technical Teams from operational and tactical program management tasks, ensuring alignment between organizational goals and technical execution.
You will collaborate closely with a wide range of stakeholders to understand the business needs, helping Technology Managers and Product Architects to convert those needs into solutions architecture and services in line with overall engineering standards and roadmaps.
Also, an important element of your role will be to drive excellence in products/programs engineering practices to deliver high-quality solutions throughout the software development lifecycle in our data domain landscape.
Your responsibilities would include:
Product Delivery Management:
- leading the orchestration of large, complex data products delivery spanning multiple solutions and product organizations, ensuring alignment of resources, timelines, and objectives across the organization
- collaborating in a roadmap creation for products/solutions (in cooperation with Engineering Managers and Product Managers/Product Owners)
- enabling the end-to-end delivery of products, spanning multiple organizations, ensuring the consistent releases of different packages in a modular architecture.
- cooperating on technical resources allocation together with the Engineering Manager and Tech Leads
- representing the Department in third-party conversations
- acting as a bridge between the teams and the rest of the organization, to align on needs for product deployments (alignment on environment availability and required inputs)
- growing and guarding effective communication and coordination within the cross-product delivery, by establishing communication channels and a schedule
- leading resolution and “war room” teams, acting as escalation and resolution contact when needed.
Technology Strategy Alignment:
- actively engaging and supporting defining and shaping the technology strategy for data products, ensuring alignment with business priorities and the organization's long-term data roadmap.
- supporting the Engineering Managers and Chapter leads, Product Owners in implementing technical strategies, ensuring that engineering decisions align with both business objectives and technical standards.
Risk & Issue Management:
- overseeing the identification and resolution of cross-team issues and risks, proactively mitigating challenges that impact program success
- identifying and resolve conflicts in the program
- proactively resolving roadblocks and issues impacting the program.
Stakeholder Management:
- engaging with a broad range of stakeholders, including senior leadership, team leadership, product teams, and external partners
- communicating effectively across all levels of the organization, influencing decision-making at both operational and strategic levels.
Strategic Planning & Execution:
- collaborating with Product Managers/Product Owners/Chapter Leads, Engineering Managers, and senior leadership to ensure that projects align with broader organizational goals and technical strategies.

You are a good candidate if you have:

8+ years of experience as a Technical Program/Project Manager with a deep understanding of data integration, ETL processes, and data warehousing
-
experience in managing and delivering successful data products for large companies, including high quality pipelines for data management
-
familiarity with data governance and compliance standards
-
hands-on experience in implementing and managing End-to-End DevOps / Data Engineering projects in a team
-
experience in working in diverse projects with varying technologies, products, and systems
-
strong problem-solving skills and ability to make critical technical decisions
-
ability to engage in detailed technical discussions with data engineering teams
-
adept at managing ambiguity, identifying dependencies and conflicts, and navigating complex technical and business challenges
-
hands-on experience in modern data engineering frameworks, with the ability to lead large-scale agile environments and continuous pipelines
-
skilled to identify and mitigate risks in cross-organization programs
-
strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively engage with senior leaders and influence decision-making across the organization
-
ability to indirectly influence and direct teams, as well as senior stakeholders (no direct authority, no direct reports)

effective verbal and written communication with knowledge of how to effectively convey information between technical and non-technical stakeholders
-
chosen program management e.g. PgMP, MSP and/or project management e.g. PMP, PRINCE2 or similar
-
chosen Agile certifications e.g. Scaled Professions Scrum (SPS), SAFe Agilist, Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar
- excellent written and verbal English.
