Senior Accounting & Reporting Manager

In this role you will operationally and strategically manage the team and community of Accounting & Reporting Managers (A&RMs). Responsible for implementation of HEINEKEN’s Global and Local Finance Policies and Guidelines ensuring full compliance to these standards. Responsible for shaping and leading A&RM community, in particular for establishing best-practices for accounting standards and ensuring full compliance with policies and legislation. Ensure accurate and timely completion of group financial and local statutory financial statements. Ensures and sets standards for business partnership with Finance Directors and with Finance Leadership Team of Operating Companies.

 

 

Your responsibilities would include:

 

  • implementing the functional strategy by setting operational plan and team’s objectives in line with HGSS strategy and OpCo strategy. 
  • designing and lead A&RM community by establishing best-practices for accounting standards, ensure full compliance with policies and legislation through knowledge-sharing, standardization, innovation and benchmarking with market trends
  • being main contact point and relationship owner of the Local/Regional Accounting firm contract (LAF).
  • ensuring business partnering with stakeholders in a collaborative way and within agreed governance model to improve stakeholders experience
  • assessing and mitigating operational risk and act as escalation point to drive issue resolution 
  • driving E2E CPI improvements agenda including reducing E2E cycle time and reduction of cost of finance 
  • being responsible for supporting/ taking part in Local and Global business and finance projects as required 
  • building internal control mind-set and embed internal controls into processes so controls are designed and executed effectively, and any deficiency is mitigated 
  • being responsible for financial reporting to be done in line with HEINEKEN’s Global Finance Policies & Procedures and external local legislation. Decision maker for final accounting treatments, in line with company policy, IFRS and Local accounting standards. 
  • presenting to company directors, auditors and other stakeholders the regular financial results, internal and external, and organizes required signatures 
  • ensuring HEINEKEN’s Balance Sheet data are fully in line with IFRS for all OpCos in scope. Proactively managing Balance Sheet risk and ops overview, drive improvements in the BSAR process and inform Finance Director periodically through a summary of the balance sheet review and related actions. 
  • working with the Group Reporting team to implement standardization and best practice policies, approaches, and training across all
  • financial Reporting activities in scope. Responsible for the OpCos final OTIF reporting of financials each period end close. 
  • coordinating external audit for Group and local purposes for the OpCo
  • being main HEIENEKEN contact point and relationship owner with Local external financial auditors. (OpCo Tax Manager/Specialist main contact point and relationship local with local tax authorities)
  • building End to End CPI mind-set by challenging the status quo to look for most efficient ways of working 
  • recruiting talents and secures their effective onboarding defines key roles and responsibilities within the team, develops and monitors performance recognizes talents and addresses underperformers drives people processes across employee lifecycle, plans and drives succession.   • driving own personal development in leadership, finance specific skills and business knowledge by implementing his / her personal development plan (PDP). 
  • building and maintain HEINEKEN and external networks to stimulate collaboration and gain external insights to shape the future of the function 
  • facilitating and drive end-to-end process management & improvement 
  • and any other task assigned by Reporting Line Manager within the scope of functional responsibilities.

 

 

You are a good candidate if you have:

 

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting. 
  • Accounting Qualification recommended (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) 
  • 8-10 years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis 
  • good understanding of ERP accounting systems as well as enabling infrastructure (workflows, invoice management) 
  • at least 5 years in managing people (preferably expert teams) on location or remotely 
  • strong stakeholder and communication management skills 
  • experience in multi-national environment and Shared Service Organisations 
  • leadership expertise aligned with HEINEKEN leadership competencies 
  • mind-set and behaviours aligned with HEINEKEN Behaviours 
  • Business Acumen, analytical skills, decision-making skills, change management skills, problem solving skill
