The last few years have seen a significant increase in the importance of digital in the Commerce space at Heineken. HEINEKEN’s digital solutions are a vital component in protecting and growing the company's revenue. To ensure that this trend is supported the Commerce DevOps Hub has been established. This newly created organization, being an integral part of the Global Digital & Technology Function, is tasked with engineering the software which powers e-Commerce. The Commerce DevOps Hub location is in Kraków, Poland.

As the QA Engineer, you will be part of the development team responsible for testing our e-Commerce platform. Collaborating closely with Product Owner(s), Architect(s) and other DevOps teams you will need to understand the business needs, helping Product Architect(s) to convert those needs into testing specifications and services in line with overall engineering standards and roadmaps. Driving excellence in engineering practices to deliver high-quality solutions throughout the software development lifecycle in our Commerce IT landscape, will be important element of your role.

 
The role reports directly to the Engineering Manager

Your responsibilities would include:

 

  • developing test cases, test plans, and test strategies to ensure comprehensive test coverage
  • executing automated tests on agreed acceptance criteria across various platforms, browsers, and devices to validate software functionality, usability, and performance. Identifying, prioritising, and reporting defects, working closely with Software Development Engineers to resolve issues
  • developing and maintaining automated test scripts using scripting languages or test automation frameworks
  • continuously enhancing automation infrastructure, test frameworks, and test suites to improve test efficiency and effectiveness
  • conducting regression testing to ensure software changes do not introduce new defects or regressions. Developing and maintaining regression test suites to support continuous integration and deployment pipelines
  • collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, and other stakeholders to ensure shared understanding of quality goals, requirements, and priorities. Participating in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, and sprint reviews.

Technology stack

Mandatory to know:

  •  Playwright or similar modern test automation framework
  • programming language like JavaScript or C#
  • Jira / Git
  • Familiarity with Azure Cloud
  • API testing methodology and tooling
  • CI/CD pipelines

Good to know:

  • Performance testing tools (k6/Gatling/JMeter)
  • Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber
  • Postman / Swagger or similar API testing tools
  • Storybook and Chromatic
  • Programming language
  • Azure cloud or other cloud solution. 

 

You are a good candidate if you have:

  • 5+ years of working experience in a similar position
  • strong understanding of integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines
  • experience with accessibility testing tools to ensure compliance with accessibility standards and guidelines
  • experience with testing APIs to validate functionality, performance, and reliability
  • experience with security testing to identify vulnerabilities and ensure system robustness against potential threat
  • strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices
  • experience with manual testing techniques, test case design, and test execution
  • proficiency in programming language for test automation
  • experience with test automation tools
  • pragmatic, and collaborative team player mindset
  • excellent written and verbal English.
