Brewing Technician

 Location: Tuatara Brewery, Upper Hutt

Type of Contract: Full-time Permanent

About the role

As a Brewer at our Brewtown Brewery – you will work alongside a talented team of Craft Brewers at our Brewtown Brewery in the Greater Wellington region. Reporting to the Head Brewer you will assist with the daily brewing to help concoct our top-of-the-line craft beers. You will help to maintain the cleanliness of the plant and the machines, and champion health and safety throughout the brewery.

 

You will deliver the goods by:

  • Operating machinery to create beverages using the full brewing process
  • Ensuring all cleaning and plant maintenance tasks are completed regularly and to a high standard
  • Using problem solving and continuous improvement to analyse and attack losses throughout the brewing process
  • Having a high level of Health and Safety standards for yourself and others within the brewery
  • Laboratory testing of products when required

 

About you

  • Having a passion for beer and/or craft beer
  • Tertiary level qualification in Science, Food Science or Engineering related qualification
  • 1 years’ experience in a FMCG process manufacturing
  • Good attention to details
  • Strong communications skills with the ability to work as part of a team
  • Expectation to study towards IBD Brewing Diploma
