Manager - Demand Planning (ExD)
At HEINEKEN Malaysia, we're looking for a strategic and collaborative Demand Planning Manager (ExD) to lead the end-to-end demand planning process for our sell-out business. Working closely with the Regional Planning Hub and cross-functional teams, you'll transform market intelligence into accurate demand plans that drive product availability, optimise inventory and support business growth.
What You'll Do
- Lead the demand planning process by aligning Hub-generated baseline forecasts with local market intelligence and commercial priorities.
- Develop and maintain robust demand plans by integrating statistical forecasts with commercial activities, including promotions, new product launches and market events.
- Facilitate the monthly Business Building Meeting and S&OP process, ensuring cross-functional alignment on demand plans and key business decisions.
- Partner with Commercial teams to understand customer and consumer trends, challenge assumptions where appropriate, and improve forecast quality.
- Drive demand-related risk and opportunity management through scenario planning, mitigation strategies and timely escalation of key issues.
- Monitor forecast performance using KPIs such as Forecast Accuracy and Forecast Bias, identifying insights and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance demand planning processes, forecast transparency and collaboration between local teams and the Regional Planning Hub.
- Build strong relationships with Commercial, Supply Planning, Finance and Regional stakeholders to enable effective decision-making and business performance.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial/Operations Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain Planning or Commercial Planning, preferably within an FMCG or fast-moving consumer goods environment.
- Proven experience facilitating S&OP, Demand Review or Business Building processes and driving cross-functional alignment.
- Experience working with a Regional Planning Hub or central planning organisation is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of demand forecasting principles, S&OP and integrated supply chain planning.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and make sound business recommendations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting or visualisation tools such as Power BI; experience with planning systems is an advantage.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills, with a continuous improvement mindset.
