Shift Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

Maintenance and productivity:

• Maintaining all the machines in plant  to reduce the breakdown and achieve the budgeted targets
• Investigate problems with instruments and sensors including flow meters, variable speed drives, temperature sensors, pressure & level transmitters & SCADA.
• Carryout programming and configuration changes. In particular the development of the alarm settings, sensor limits, time schedules, temperature set points and control strategies.
• Investigate and recommend system improvements with particular emphasis on energy efficiency.
• To carry out preventive maintenance & continuous improvement of machineries as per the schedules.

Quality:

• Make all the utilities available to maintain required quality standards of the plant.
• To maintain the ISO standards of the plant

Efficiency:

• Automation of manual processes                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Ensuring proper and optimum utilization of plant and machinery and equipments.
• Maintaining the electricity consumption with in budgeted target.
• Reduce the break down of the machines by providing proper maintenance.

Cost and cost control:

• To keep the repair and maintenance cost within budgeted amount.
• Control the usage of power in the plant.

Safety and statutory compliance:

• Provide all safety measures in order to reduce

            Grievance  of the accident (if occurs)

• Conducting periodic safety audits of Electrical Installation/panels.

Self and subordinate development:

• To give on-the-job training to the subordinates.
• To identify training programmes for self.

Development/ Expansion:

• Identify the areas which need improvement/automation and implementation.

Preparation of estimates in respect of modernization, up gradation and new projects and inviting relevant competitive quotations from reputed suppliers and manufactures.
